Modern Colonial: A Custom Home Build in Warren, NJ

Warren, NJ was recently voted among the best places to live in the state, according to Niche’s 2018 “Best Places to Live” in New Jersey.

With an A+ grade, Warren Township was ranked the 3rd best place to live in Somerset County, and the 81st best in the state.

We recently completed a custom project in Warren, on top of beautiful Skyline Drive. This stunning Colonial is situated on a gorgeous 1.57-acre lot, and features 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.

The first thing you might notice about the home is the welcoming front entryway with a beautiful solid mahogany front door, and an elegantly arched roof.

But arguably more important is the fact that the exterior is virtually maintenance-free, thanks to superior materials like Gray Slate Hardie Plank Siding, Stone Veneer, Azek trim, and Timbertech PVC handrails.

The GAF Timberline HD Roof has a lifetime warranty, the windows are all 400 Series Anderson windows and screens, and the 3-car garage features beautiful carriage house style garage doors.

We also included window well drainage ties with perimeter and French drainage systems, and generously-sized 6″ gutters to help avoid unwanted clogs and leaks.

Inside the Home…

There is over 6,000 square feet of finished living space on 3 levels, plus an attic.

As soon as you walk in the front door, you’ll notice the absolutely gorgeous select redwood hardwood floors, which we’ve stained with 3 coats of polyurethane for maximum durability.

You’ll also notice the exquisite millwork, including double crown molding, wainscot molding, and a chair rail throughout the first floor, which continues up the stairs and into the second-floor hallway.

As you come into the home, you’ll see an elegant living room with a double-sided gas fireplace, which you can also access from the large family room. On the other side of the front entryway, the dining room is conveniently situated next to a butler’s pantry, which has a stainless steel sink and a beverage center. Situated in the back of the home is the stunning eat-in kitchen.

In this space, we used custom cabinetry, a large center island, stone countertops, an under-mount stainless steel sink, Jenn Air stainless steel appliances, and a large pantry for plenty of storage. Above the 6-burner professional Wolf range is a gorgeous accent tile detail.

Next to the kitchen is a mudroom with cubbies and a stained oak bench seat—a feature that every family could use. The best part of the mudroom is the herringbone brick paver floor.

On the second floor, there are four bedrooms and four full bathrooms, including the master bedroom suite. In the master, there is a up-lit trey ceiling, a large walk-in closet, and window bench seating.

The dreamy master bath includes a double sink vanity with gorgeous stone countertops, Kohler fixtures, a cast iron soaking tub, and an elegant walk-in shower with a frameless shower door enclosure.
